When Baby Only Wants YOU to Put them Down

Does your little one have a STRONG parental preference at bedtime? Good news— it’s totally normal. Bad news? It tends to get worse over time, leaving you trapped at home and never to enjoy a girl’s night out again without worrying horribly about your little darlings.

And yes, it’s beautiful bonding time with them that is very precious. But, let’s be real, for us busy-body, super social moms, it can feel like quite the burden at times. Here are some helpful tips for letting someone else put baby down:

BONDING TIME

❤️Have your partner do exclusive 1:1 bonding time with baby for at least 10 mins a day.

LET OTHERS BE A PART OF BEDTIME

❤️Have partner be a part of bedtime wind down routine with you first. Then have them lead it and you return only when baby is upset.

UP THE ANTE

❤️ Up the ante with other parent and baby- so maybe add an extra fun step to bedtime routine that’s just with Dad. Or do an extra book or song to help with alternating until babes adjusts to it.

LET US HELP MAKE THE TRANSITION EASIER ON YOU!

❤️ Start our bedtime routine and strategies in our course or consultation. It’ll make the world of difference! We make it less about WHO is putting baby down & more about HOW they are doing it so it’s all consistent & mama gets a break if need be.
